My kids put up with a lot from me. For a quiet person such as myself, I like to do stuff. Often that results in me doing too much stuff for myself and I have to be careful but honestly, I like to have fun. And I like to think that my kidlets will go to bed exhausted at the end of the day.
Actually on this day (which was technically yesterday), Jason took Xave to church while I took Eva to help out with the Aunties (who together run a little business called The Paper Sisters…which I am also a Paper Sister…only I get paid in free babysitting…a great deal if you ask me!). And then Xave and Jason brought us lunch.
Me: What did you and Daddy do this morning?
Me: Did you go to church?
Xave: I had a coffee.
Me: I think you went to church, right?
Xave: I had a coffee and I go shopping and I go to creche!
Me: Daddy is busted!
Oh well…we may be broke but at least we’re happy right?!
I’m biased I know, but sometimes I just look at my kids and think, hot dang! I make seriously cute children.
This is Eva doing one of her regular rounds of the market stalls, charming stall owners and patrons alike. She waves, she talks, she seems to know when to offer the shy smile and when to snuggle into the shoulder just to seal the deal on an origami mobile. She also thinks that as payment, she should be entitled to eat as many kusudama balls as she likes.
